I was just added to the list of approved Realtors that are able to sell homes for the fire victims in San Bruno. Please feel free to call me or email me with questions. See below for eligibility.

To be eligible, you and your property must meet the following criteria.
Your property must:
  • Be located within the Program Area;
  • Be classified by the City of San Bruno as a residential dwelling;
  • Be improved; and
  • Be owned by an individual and not as part of a business.
You must:
  • Have become the owner of the property before September 9, 2010;
  • Not have been issued NRP funds in the past twelve months;
  • Wait twelve months to participate in the VAP after completion of rebuilding, if you participated in the RP Program; and
  • Decide to sell your property, follow program procedures, and receive an offer on your property that you would like to accept.
In addition, when you decide to sell your property, you must follow the criteria below:
  • Your property must be listed with an Approved Real Estate Agent (list to be provided upon program commencement);
  • You must make Reasonable Efforts (see section V below) to obtain the Fair Market Value for your property; and
  • You must make a claim to the VAP within six months of the date of closing on your property.
The VAP will end on January 31, 2016. In the event PG&E elects to extend the VAP, written notice will be provided.
If your property had an active listing as of September 9, 2010 and your real estate agent is not one of the Approved Real Estate Agents, your agent must contact the Program Administrator by November 1, 2010 in order to preserve your eligibility. The Program Administrator will contact your agent, explain the VAP, and add him or her to the approved agents list.
Property eligibility is subject to final determination by the Program Administrator.
